Designing Static HTML ?



Believe it or not, a lot of webmasters are still building their affiliate review sites using static HTML. As you probably know, it takes a lot of time to develop a page using static HTML. At minimum it could take you nearly a week to build a website if you are designing each single page from scratch. You will be required to redo your designs yet a second time, if you decide that you want to make a few alterations or add some other web pages. This is ridiculous and way too much trouble!

I definitely suggest that you utilize Content Management System, or CMS, to develop your website. There are a lot of popular free CMS including WordPress, Joomla, Xoops, Plone and so on. Most CMS are open source and available for personal use!

Personally, I have developed many WP review websites and have found it very easy to do. It is no longer necessary to employ page designing instruments to create any page of a website. You just need an installed copy of WordPress, which many web hosts will add for free, choose a free theme and add any plug-ins you might need for extra functionality. Then I have my review site up and running in just a few minutes!

There are a lot of themes available that you can choose to build your review site. A theme should be properly optimized and redesigned as a landing page. What should you take attentions to, when redesign a theme?

Here are some tips to help you adjust your theme effectively:

1. Delete navigation on top of your homepage.

2. Turn off your various widgets. The point here is to create a focused page without any distractions.

3. Using White or light color background and black text are the best for readability!

4. Sort the sequence of the posts. The top service or product should be placed in the top slot! Then sort the sequence by descending!

These tips are pretty basic but are good to keep in mind when using WP or any other CMS to build your review site. Take some time to look for and collect themes and plug-ins that will help you to build an effective review site.
